Today was HOT HOT HOT in Israel. First, the MBIers got a tour
of the magnificent Herbet Midras caves, a 2000-year-old labyrinth, in which
Jewish rebels hid from the Romans. This was yet another chance for them to
connect to a beautiful and remarkable site from Israel's ancient history. This
time though, they did it wearing headlamps! They had lunch at a park yum, yum.
After viewing the caves and
hiking, the kids got a chance for fun and sun at the beach. Don't worry, we
reminded them to put on sunscreen and drink plenty of water. The group had a
conversation about responsibility and broke into Va’adot(working groups). They
also ran Chuggim(interest groups) for one another ,After three very packed days
of activity, the beach time was highly appreciated.
The MBIers went to sleep tonight at Nes Harim,
a nice youth hostel run by the JNF. They will be spending Shabbat at Yar Levi.
