July 7
Shabbat was very relaxing this week. The MBIers ran shabbat chugim
(interest groups) for themselves. The MBIers were also given a chance
over Shabbat to think about and discuss how they want to use their
kupa money to increase their social solidarity. Kupa, a unique aspect
of our program, in which most spending money is shared, allows money
to become a community-building tool, instead of something that divides
the group.

In the evening, the participants had a very cool experience where they
went out on a mini hike because it was a full moon. They came back to the Kibbutz hostel and sang kumzits (camp songs) and had skits by the camp fire.
